The BLS-P Series Hydroprocessing Protective Catalysts are extensively utilized in the hydrotreatment processes of challenging feedstocks such as secondary-processed diesel, wax oils, and residuum. Their distinctive geometric shape and size result in a higher void fraction and external surface area, enabling them to capture and retain larger quantities of iron, calcium, and other fouling solids and particulates. The moderate reactivity facilitates the controlled hydrogenation of coke-forming asphaltene substances present in the feedstock, thus mitigating catalyst poisoning, coke formation, and the increase in bed pressure drop, ultimately prolonging the catalyst's service life.
